Hey Stefan,
I'm in the final steps to finish soldering the Euphoria boards. Today was a special day because all neccessary boards for making a sound were finished - and making sounds it did :)
But it seems I have an issue on both the reverberation and the primary oscillator board. Turning Reverberation to wet seems to only distort the sound - nothing seems to get send to the reverb tank. On the other hand I can "play" the reverb springs by hand and hear them loud and clear.....I've ordered an Belton brick to check if the problem persists using that.
And after fixing a faulty power diode on the primary osc board I've got sound from the tri/saw but nothing on pulse and sine.
Long story short: to simplify the troubleshooting I'd like to ask you for the schematic so I don't have to trace everything based on the IBOMs.
Thanks in advance
Andreas
Hey Andreas, It seems like the issue could only be related to U44, C206, R496, C205, the Gain Trimmer, or the RCA connector/Tank Connection. Have you double-checked the values of all the components after replacing them? Is C205 oriented correctly? Also, how are you connecting the board to the Tank? Cheers,
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
I've sucessfully fixed the primary oscillator (3 TL074s had faulty opamp stages) but I don't get the spring reverb tank to work (the brick works fine). I've narrowed it down to the driver circuit drastically reducing the input signal.
I have a healthy 13-14Vpp signal going from Pin1 of U40 to Pin 10 of U44 but only a measly ~0,4Vpp signal on Pin8 of U44 respectively the sleeve of the white rca jack. I've already replaced U44 and all the other components of the SpringDriveCircuit, except the rca jack and 10k trimmer which measures just fine but does not seem to have any effect an the opamp's gain. The PCB traces are also ok.
The SpringRecoverCircuit seems to work fine as I can strum the spring and hear it perfectly. The spring tank measures ok also.
Do you have any tips for me?
Thanks,
Andreas
Hi Andreas, Can you please send me a quick email I can respond to? I couldn´t find your email adress in the website contacts. Thanks, Stefan
