Hi,
I just bought a stereo comp pre sold by someone else, and there is a little problem with it that make it impossible to use it : the gain knob is not acting linear for the left and right outputs.
When turned fully ccw, the left output is very loud, and not the right, and when it is fully cw, it is the opposit, the lef output is really attenuate, and the right very loud.
Is it possible that there is an inversion somewere that create this strange behaviour ? Could someone have an idea of how to repaire that issue ?
Thank's
Basile
Hey, The gain is regulated through a single stereo potentiometer and two distinct op-amps. There's a possibility that there might be a faulty solder joint at the potentiometer or a connection issue with the op-amps. Would you be able to share a high-resolution picture of the back side of the PCB for closer examination? Best, Stefan
